SUPERthrive Pro-TeKt 0-0-3 The Silicon Solution - Potassium Silicate Silicon Supplement for Plants - 1 Gallon
Pro-TeKt 0-0-3, The Silicon Solution, is a liquid potassium silicate supplement that supplies soluble silicon and potassium to help plants build stronger cell walls and tolerate heat, drought and cold stress. It is recommended for all plants and growing media and is ideal for hydroponics, where it stands in for the silica normally found in soil. It was formerly sold as Dyna-Gro Pro-TeKt and is now sold under the SUPERthrive name.
Key Features
- Adds mechanical strength to stems
- Improves heat and drought tolerance
- Safe for soil and soilless media and works with your existing nutrient program
- Concentrated: 1 mL per gallon gives about 8 ppm potassium and 21 ppm silicon
- High pH keeps silicate in solution, so do not mix the concentrate with acidic fertilizers
How to Use
Always dilute Pro-TeKt in water first, before adding other nutrients. Soil maintenance is 1/4 to 1/2 tsp per gallon with each watering; hydroponic reservoirs 1/2 to 1 tsp per gallon; foliar 1/4 to 1/2 tsp per gallon (spot-test first). Check and adjust pH after adding.
