HealthiStraw GardenStraw Premium Wheat Straw Mulch - Cleaned Non-GMO Garden Mulch - 3 cu ft Bale
HealthiStraw GardenStraw is cleaned, cut wheat straw mulch for gardens. It is processed with an all-natural, additive-free cleaning process and enhanced seed filtration that removes wheat seeds, dust, dirt, mold and other impurities, so it suits in-ground gardens, raised beds, containers and pots.
Key Features
- 100% non-GMO wheat straw sourced from the Canadian prairies
- Helps conserve soil water; the maker says up to 50% water savings
- Suppresses weeds by blocking sunlight to weed seeds
- Prevents erosion and compaction and can be mixed into the soil at season end
- Covers about 100 sq ft at a 2 to 3 inch layer
- Not certified organic; enhanced filtration removes most, but not all, wheat seeds
How to Use
Apply a 2 to 3 inch layer, keeping 1 inch clear of plant crowns and stems, and water thoroughly over the mulch. Reapply as it breaks down, typically 1 to 3 times a season, or mix it into the soil at the end of the season.
