How to Use
Apply to soil before planting; can be mixed with compost or manures. Recommended rates: Bulbs - 1 tablespoon per average hole, mixed into the soil and watered in. Vegetable gardens and flower beds - 2.5 to 5 lb per 100 sq ft for new gardens, mixed into the top 3 inches of soil; 1/4 cup per hole for transplants; side dress established plants with 1/4 to 1/2 cup in fall or early spring. Containers - new plantings 1/4 cup per gallon of soil or 5 to 10 lb per cubic yard; established plants 1 tablespoon per gallon every other month during the growing season. Trees and shrubs - 1 lb per 1 inch of trunk diameter around the base to the drip line; for new trees mix 1 to 2 cups into the backfill.
