Osmocote Classic 14-14-14 is a resin-coated, controlled-release NPK fertilizer, described by its maker ICL as the first-generation Osmocote controlled-release formula. It is a general-purpose feed for nursery, foliage and greenhouse production, container gardens, interiorscapes and landscapes, and is often used on heavy-feeding greenhouse plants.

How to Use
Incorporate into growing media (avoid over-mixing, and use the media within 2 to 4 weeks) or top-dress on the container surface, keeping granules off plant stems, and irrigate after application. Incorporation rates are 3.6, 8.5 and 12.7 lb per cubic yard for low, medium and high feeders; landscape rates are 7.1, 14.3 and 21.4 lb per 1,000 sq ft. Release time depends on media temperature: about 4 to 5 months at 60F, 3 to 4 months at 70F, 2 to 3 months at 80F and 1 to 2 months at 90F. Trial on a small batch before adopting it for a whole crop.
